Music

Our congregation loves to sing!  Our music director and organist, Nestor Milanes, along with our choir members provide music as one of the staples of our worship service.  In addition to singing during our regular worship, the choir also leads musical services during special times such as Good Friday, Easter and Christmas. Choir rehearsal is at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays.

United Methodist Women (UMW)

The UMW meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM in the parlor. All women in the congregation are invited to attend. Our United Methodist Women are a community of Women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We participate in God's mission in all areas of life.

Men's Group

Are you looking for something to do? The Men's Discussion Group meets each Tuesday at 9:30 AM in the church parlor. Talk about everything from politics to religion; nothing is taboo. A thought provoking 2 ½ hours of discussion and fun. Stop by and have some laughs, good food, and coffee and become one with the group.

Lydia Circle

Lydia Circle meets on the first Wednesday morning of each month from 10:30 AM- 12:00 PM in the church parlor, except during July and August. This women’s group provides fellowship opportunities in which we share prayers, poems, readings, our concerns and feelings, or just friendly conversation. We have occasionally visited interesting locations. Our missions concern congregational sharing and needs. We take turns providing light refreshments. We invite and welcome all women.

The Happening Committee

The Happening Committee is dedicated to providing affordable or no-cost activities for the entire church family to enjoy Christian fellowship together. Some of our past activities include:

• Long Island Ducks Game

• Swing Dancing

• Bring a Friend to Church Sunday

• Music Concerts Park and Beach Parties

• Family retreat at Camp Quinipet on Shelter Island.

• Summer backyard breakfasts after church services in July and August

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

VBS is held during the last week in August. It is a series of lively, theme based, evening activities for children of all ages and adults. This program welcomes active participation from the community.
